As a native of Boulder, Colorado, it’s no surprise that the beauty of nature has undoubtedly shaped my artistic perspective. Its impact courses through my work and every card I create is a joyous tribute to my roots here.

As a child, I was inspired to draw by my father. With no formal training and just a pencil and paper, he would meticulously reproduce images that piqued his interest. It was a sight that left an indelible mark on my young mind.

During middle school, my interest in art blossomed even more thanks to Mr. Snow, my remarkable art teacher. The University of Colorado Art School furthered my craft, expanded my perspective and refined my skills. I knew that art would be with me for the rest of my life.

One of my most cherished artistic experiences unfolded during my visit to Greece and the enchanting island of Santorini. It was there, amidst the ancient village of Akrotiri, with roots dating back to 1800 BC, that I discovered a wellspring of inspiration. The awe-inspiring restorations of the wall paintings left an indelible impression on me. As a result, much of my recent work has been an homage to the Greek women of that era, capturing their societal roles through my art.

Over the course of my career I delved into the world of gouache acrylics and pen and ink, exploring their limitless potential. Currently, I find solace and artistic expression through the captivating mediums of colored pencil and watercolor pencil. These versatile tools have a unique way of speaking to my soul. Although my creations may not be grand in size, they possess a captivating power that resonates deeply.
